Philly Fabrication is the leading resource for premium hairpin legs for heavy use. Legs are sold individually. Each leg comes with 5, 1 inch, self drilling, #8 Tek screws and a floor protector. Our legs hold an impressive 400 lbs per set of 4, as we weld through the plate for an unbreakable weld. Please choose your size and finish from the drop down Menu. The plate is 4.75x4.75, the bar is 3/8 steel.

We are offering a high quality exterior paint for the cost of our polished option. If you’d prefer the black or white paint, please include this in the notes.

There is a 3 leg minimum for each order. Each order over 4 legs will be discounted 1$ per leg. So if you order 8 legs, you’ll receive a discount of 4$, 12 legs would be 8$ and so on. Please contact us with any questions.

We hand make each leg in Philadelphia, Pa. We use only tried and true methods for each of our processes. Some hairpin leg suppliers plug weld aiming to make a lower quality product and pass it off as unique. They claim their process is more technical and its really just a short cut that produces the a sub par weld. Our legs are welded around the entire bar creating the strongest weld possible. While our method of welding completely around the bar takes a little longer, we know this is the only way to produce the strongest leg. We make legs for a lifetime or more and they are truly a heirloom product.

We have designed our legs based off of the many different legs we have seen over the years in various thrift shops and antique stores. Our design offers two screw holes for each weld that is critical in helping to keep each leg extra stable. We have a table in our shop that we have used everyday for the past three years, made from our hairpin legs and screws, and they perform like they were brand new. Let me know if you want to see a daily photo of our hairpin table.

The hairpin leg was created by Henry Glass. The original design was patio furniture with hairpins for the legs, arms and back with fabric stretched for the seat and back. The metal was a special magnesium steel made to withstand salt water climates for coastal customers in the Northeast. As time progressed, the leg's steel type changed to mild steel and was sold as a detachable leg by various companies; each company having a similar design as Henry Glass never patented his designs.

Please contact us with any questions at all, we are here to help. Please take into consideration your sizing needs and the address it is to be shipped to. We cannot be responsible for wrong sizing or wrong addresses so please contact us about questions with sizing.

Please note, this is a 100% mild steel product. We do not send legs out with rust. They can have color differences from the manufacturing process. Please consider a sealer if you live in a humid climate. Our sealer is guaranteed for 10 days after delivery. Buyers are responsible for any shipping costs paid for returns and exchanges.

Legs bent around a tighter radius stiffens the leg and makes it more rigid whereas a larger radius nose gives the steel more room to wiggle and bounce causing a shakier table. Our legs have a thinner nose for a more stable leg.

How do I figure out where the bottom of a hairpin will end up on the floor relative to where I secure them to a table?

Multiply .144 by the size of your legs and that will give you the distance from the welds to where the bottom lines up on the ground.

Does it cost extra to ship outside of the contiguous US?

Why do you give tek screws aka pan head self tapping screws with every order? Why not give wood screws?

We thought of the best screw for all applications that is cheap enough to offer free of charge. Our best answer to this is the tek screw. Its self drilling so you cant strip the wood, they drill through steel so you dont always need a hole to drill in and they are cheap. We do reccomend to use these until you are able to use a good wood screw that fits your top perfectly. The screws we provide are meant to be a quick fix. The ideal screw would be a wood screw. And you would drill a pilot hole first before you secure the screw. We've honestly never had any complaints except from people who notice they are not for wood. We appreciate this feedback. Please contact us with what screw you need. We do not sell screws at this time. Thanks
